I know that the decision to let our natural hair come through can open up questions we didn't expect.
Questions about getting older.
About being desirable.
About how others see us.
About whether we feel safe enough to openly change.
And after years of walking alongside women through some of life's most profound thresholds, I've come to understand that what looks like an external change can sometimes invite a much deeper encounter with ourselves.
I created The Crowning as a gentle space for that encounter.

I'm a mother of 5, a former birthworker, a former top network marketer, and a woman who has lived through more than one version of herself.
For much of my life, I've found myself drawn to the spaces in between. Those tender, sometimes uncomfortable moments when something we've known is changing, but what comes next hasn't quite revealed itself yet.
As a midwife, I had the privilege of sitting beside women as they crossed one of life's most extraordinary thresholds. I learned that there are some journeys we cannot rush, some things we cannot think our way through, and a quiet kind of wisdom that lives within us when we feel safe enough to listen.
I've been drawn to those thresholds long before, and I think, ever since.
I've spent years building things, some of them right, some of them not, some of them extremely lucrative and successful and learning the hard way that you cannot build a truly magnificent life from strategy alone.
These days, my work looks a little different, but the heart of it remains the same.
I'm curious about the stories we've inherited. The things we've been taught to believe about beauty, womanhood, ageing, success and who we're allowed to be.
And I'm endlessly fascinated by what becomes possible when we begin gently questioning those stories.
The Crowning was born from my own experience of letting my natural hair come through, and realising how much more there was to explore beneath something that seemed so simple.
I created it because I believe every woman deserves the space to meet herself beneath the expectations she's carried for so long.
And if there's one thing I hope you feel here, it's that you don't need to become somebody else to be worthy of being seen.
There is already so much of you waiting to be met.
With love,
— Jess

I'm a mother of five. We homeschool. I live on subtropical acreage with my husband, our 5 children, our 2 dogs and 3 cats.
We grow bananas and try to keep our garden alive after growing up city-dwellers and moving when we realised the world couldn't offer what we needed next.
My life looks nothing like most people's idea of a "business."
Which is probably why I understand, more than most, what it costs to keep choosing alignment over convenience.
I've spent years building things, some of them right, some of them not, some of them extremely lucrative and successful and learning the hard way that you cannot build a truly magnificent life from strategy.
That the clarity people are looking for is never going to come from more strategy, more content, more pushing.
It comes from learning to hear yourself, trust what you hear and then cultivating the bravery to act on that knowing.
I've built an $11M business and then walked away to create something even more aligned.
I've learned that actually, your biggest superpower in business and success - are the very things I teach here. Vision. Storytelling. Magnetism. Alignment.
That's what my work is about. Not fluffy mindset work. Not fake affirmations. Not strategy based marketing.
The inner voice. How to hear it underneath the noise. How to trust it enough to move.
The Anchor is where that work lives.
I'm so glad you're here.
